A few days after the start of the conflict, time seems to stand still. The roads to get to the villages illegally occupied by pro-Russians are completely battered by the tracks of military vehicles, by mortars and rockets, by the weight of 8 years of “low intensity” warfare. Gray dominates all around, between snow and fog, which makes the journey uniform with an aesthetic that matches the state of tension of these days preceding the great war.
